Ride The Nation is a continuous, uninterrupted ride through the continental US states, beginning in Boston, Massachusetts on September 10th, 2026 and finishing in Santa Cruz, California on November 13th, 2026.

Undertaken by 9x World Record-holding ultra-endurance cyclist Jack Thompson, the project is a nationwide storytelling platform, designed to connect communities, celebrate the real fabric of America, and demonstrate the power of human connection in a digitally disconnected world.  

Jack has been sober for close to 10 years and is a passionate mental health advocate. Central to everything he does is a deep belief that cycling has had an incredible impact on his well-being and quality of life. That belief underpins this project as much as the athletic achievement does.  

The project is led in partnership with NewForm, whose mission and digital community of over 1,000,000 users sits at the heart of the project's narrative and reach.  

Outride is partnering with Ride the Nation as an activation partner to host community and school-based cycling activations in select cities across the route, highlighting how cycling can improve brain health and well-being. Through these events, local communities will have opportunities to meet Jack, learn about the impact of cycling, and support Outride's work expanding access to cycling programs, research, and community initiatives.
