Community Impact Grants increase access to cycling and its benefits

OVERVIEW

The Outride Community Impact Grant aims to create access to cycling and its social, emotional, and cognitive benefits for all people, especially youth and aging populations.

As a part of Outride’s theory of change, we aim to prioritize making grants that provide additional pathways and opportunities in communities where we’ve also made Riding For Focus program grants, creating ecosystems of support and programming for cycling access.

    Applying:

    • You must submit an application through our grantee portal, we will not accept applications in any other form.

    • Ensure you select the "Community Impact" grant opportunity with the grantee portal and not Riding For Focus

    1. Outride staff will carefully consider each application against our selection criteria.

    • Please review our mission and funding priorities and identify whether and how your project best aligns with those priorities. Top-rated applications make a strong connection between their project proposal and Outride’s mission and funding areas.

    • Partner with an existing Riding For Focus school or work with a local school to start a new site. Strong applicants also partner with other local organizations to create a network of resources and pathways to increase ridership.

    • Write a coherent, thoughtful, and substantive application. Outline a clear justification for your proposed budget, and how it will set you up for success in your proposed project.
