Outride invests in programs that unlock the social, emotional, and cognitive benefits of cycling.
Grantmaking Approach
At Outride, we are striving to empower people to experience the social, emotional, and cognitive benefits of cycling.
We make grants to support schools and nonprofits to create and sustain cycling programs in their communities. We emphasize equity and inclusion in our grantmaking because we know that access to cycling and its benefits is uneven.
Grant Programs
-
Our foundational grant program for establishing a Riding For Focus site at a local public school.
-

Community Impact Grants support a wide range of cycling programs, including:

We make grants that:
Identify specific, measurable goals and objectives that are aligned with our mission
Have clear strategies or programs to achieve those goals
Support an equitable, inclusive, and diverse cycling community
We do not fund:
Political campaigns
Events
Individuals
Bike advocacy/policy/lobbying initiatives
Programs not focused on cycling
Cycling programs without an intentional focus on social, emotional, and cognitive health or expanding equity and access
