Another Round of Riding for Focus Grants Awarded!

There’s a lot of new kids on the block—of course riding bikes! The Specialized Foundation announced 41 new middle school grant recipients for the 2019-2020 Riding for Focus school program. With the addition of these new schools, The Specialized Foundation will now support more than 33,000 new students next year, across 130 schools, in 45 states and Canada.

Road Ready—Open Road Bicycles and Duval Charter School

After being awarded the Riding for Focus grant from The Specialized Foundation, Duval Charter School Southside has been integrating cycling lessons into each middle school PE class. With twenty Specialized Pitch bicycles and helmets awarded to the school to use,the teachers are following a curriculum designed to help students become “Road Ready” where they learn how to ride safely on and off the trails by improving their balance, awareness, and general cycling safety.

A Wheely Big Deal! Peter Sagan Outrides ADHD at the Tour de France

We appreciate the tremendous support for The Specialized Foundation Riding for Focus program during the 2018 Tour de France. The Specialized S-Works Shiv that Peter Sagan and his Bora-Hansgrohe teammates rode during Stage 20 of the Tour de France was indeed very special. The newly released Roval 321 rear disc wheel certainly turned heads as the fastest wheel/tire combo for the TT stage, but the bright blue Riding for Focus logo drove awareness for the Specialized Foundation.
