Kaylee Blevins, our Outride Research Manager for the past three years, will be leaving Outride to take the next steps in her pursuit of a career in the field of medicine and is off to finish up her pre-medical pre-requisites at Byrn Mawr College.

We wish Kaylee all the success in the world—and if the past is any indicator of her future she is poised to take on the world and do great things. The Outride Team wishes her good luck on this new ride into exploring the depths and discovery of science and medicine.

Kaylee contributed to Outride on so many levels—serving as our Research Manager she worked with our team at Stanford Medical School conducting research that’s bridging the gap by furthering the scientific knowledge of how riding can enhance brain function especially for kids struggling with ADHD, she produced our annual Outride Research Reports documenting the participation of our Riding for Focus schools nationwide, she pursued new partnerships and devised strategies to market public health messaging, and she also managed the applied research arm of Outride.

Kaylee hails from Durango, Colorado, which she shared, “is crazy about bikes,” and home to mountain bike legends Ned Overend (her neighbor!) and Travis Brown. She grew up riding with brother Christopher (Tokyo Olympic hopeful and National Road Champion) with the Durango Devo developmental cycling group and was hooked for life. Devo kit jerseys featured NFTF on the front—Never Forget the Feeling a motto that inspired her to start riding in the fifth grade and onward for over 15 years. Fast forward—her new mantra…Be excellent to each other & play hard.

Outride’s Athlete Ambassador Program was jumpstarted and developed by Kaylee and now features 29 elite athletes. The Athlete Ambassadors mentor, motivate, and inspire our Riding for Focus students and a young generation of new riders throughout the USA and Canada. The good news—Kaylee will be staying on to manage the ambassador program, our relationship with S-Racing, and to serve as our strategic partnerships consultant continuing to develop other cycling industry partnerships.

Thank you Kaylee—you will be truly missed—and you leave a legacy to Outride and to all youth riding bikes—that they can Outride everything in life!
