This is a snapshot of the metrics we will collect with the Biometric Assessment Tool this spring expanding measurements to social success and health factors beyond the academic outcomes charted below. Over a 6 week observation period, 203 students at a first year Riding for Focus school rode for 6 week at least 3 times a week for 20 minutes in Target Heart Rate Zone.  These students were all in general physical education classes without a specific learning difference determination.  Of the 203 students, 104 students in Math and 86 students in Language Arts had a GPA that could be improved upon (>4.0).  Using this subset we determined a 14.1% increase in Math grades and a 7.0% increase in Language Arts grades.

We look forward to spring when the weather warms up and students get back riding bikes so we can measure more results.
